Digital video streaming encoder/decoder

SymNet provides an excellent way to begin building a digital security network without replacing all analog equipment. Built-in MPEG-4 compression technology allows SymNet to deliver high-quality video, synchronized audio, and data over any 10/100BaseT Ethernet network. Analog cameras, monitors, and keyboards can all be connected to a network using a SymNet unit and twisted-pair Ethernet cable. The advanced MPEG-4 video compression allows full D1resolution at 25 frames per second with synchronized audio. The digital resolution equals or surpasses D1, CIF, and QCIF quality. Other peripheral devices can also be connected to SymNet for increased functionality. Alarm devices, audio inputs and outputs, RS-485 devices, and serial data lines can all interface with SymNet. Use the built-in serial port to control pan/tilt/zoom cameras from a networked PC or from a connected keyboard.
