SymSafe Pro 4 introduces “hybrid” recording that works with both conventional analog cameras and the new family of GE digital network products. This unique platform provides a graceful migration path to digital recording – the future of video recording – and at the same time allows continued use of existing analog equipment. With the SymSafe Pro 4, users can record up to full-size images in real time on every channel. Using MPEG-4 compression, SymSafe Pro 4 records 25 frames per channel, per second – at 2CIF resolution. MPEG-4 technology produces small but high-quality files for network streaming. SymSafe Pro 4 incorporates Triplex functionality for simultaneous viewing, playback, and recording of video. It offers 4 channels of analog recording and two channels of digital recording, all up to D1 resolution (720 x 576). SymSafe Pro 4 includes full search capabilities by time, date, motion, and alarms. Each unit features alarm handling with a history log and alarm notification via e-mail. SymSafe Pro 4 can be easily networked and viewed remotely via 10/100/1000 BaseT Ethernet. The recorders utilize Dynamic IP Addressing (DHCP) and support Dynamic Domain Name Server (DDNS). GE Security software allows viewing of live and recorded video from multiple SymSafe Pro 4 units. A sleek and modern front panel makes the SymSafe Pro 4 easy to set up and use. Hard drive sizes from 160GB to 1TB are available with the SymSafe Pro 4 to fit all of your storage needs. A unique Cooling Tunnel design keeps each hard drive cooler to extend its life. A form factor that measures one rack unit wide by 2U high allows SymSafe Pro 4 to fit easily into a standard 19-inch rack.
